Hurricane Helene update as of October 12th, 10:00 am

GigaBeam is working diligently to restore services to all customers affected by this terrible storm.  More than 80% of our network was down and/or damaged from this massive storm as well as the significant damage to our customer’s and employee’s homes and businesses.  We proud to report that 98% of our network is now back to normal operations as well as our customer outages are now down to around 100.  We will continue to work to get all customer back to normal operations as quickly as possible.  The remaining outages are in the worst hit area of our network, which was Grayson County.  All other counties are fully operational.  There are still several downed lines in Grayson and restoration of service will be ongoing.  Primary fiber lines are repaired by the power company with drops being repaired by GigaBeam.  If your drop cable (the cable from the house to the utility pole) is down or broken, please contact us so we can schedule the repair.  Feel free to report an outage to us via our contact page here (Contact Us), call us at 540-726-2317, or via private message on Facebook.  We thank you for your patience as we get things back to operational status.  We also sincerely appreciate all of our customers that have extended their hospitality to our staff as they have been in the field rebuilding the network!  Thank you again for being a customer and a member of the GigaBeam family.
